Earlier today, new Manchester band The Deep Blue released their first single, Jealous Sea. Aside from the three-part vocal harmonies, I appreciate the solid instrumentation. Due to all the unique elements, this song will stay in your head for a long time. The chorus is brilliantly composed.
The Deep Blue comments on Jealous Sea: “You know that feeling: when you’ve lost a little bit of love for yourself and you see that person who has everything you’ve ever wanted. In a world of endless scrolling through the lives of others, it can be difficult to keep your head above the jealous sea; we are all in danger of slipping under. You’re not alone—sometimes we all want to be somebody else. Here’s a song to get you through and dance the green away.”
I highly recommend streaming Jealous Sea. It marks the beginning of a successful music career. Looking forward to what The Deep Blue has in store for us next.
