Alex Maes always delivers with her music. Continental convinced me right from the first second. It overlaps multiple genres (rock, country, pop, and soul) and sounds great throughout. I’m especially fan of the guitar work, but the drums are brilliant too. The vocals feel crisp and very momentum-based, which I appreciate.
Continental depicts the story of traveling the country and falling in love one highway at a time. The lyrics keep a fun edge, which takes you away from the seriousness of life for some minutes.
