Bluebird is one of BUBBLE TEA AND CIGARETTES’ most ambitious songs to date. It begins with a fragile, close-mic acoustic confession, but becomes more and more cinematic from there, ultimately culminating in a sweeping arrival of a 40-piece string orchestra.
Told through soft, poetic imagery, the lyrics capture the bittersweet feeling of holding onto memories while knowing the other person has to move on. The lyrics hit home right away due to the relatable situation they describe.
