January Blue is a New Zealand-born indie pop artist. She releases her new single, Midas, which impresses. For example, it features some really cool guitar work during the final chorus. The vocals are also worth mentioning because they have their own unique character.
Inspired by the myth of King Midas, the song explores the darker side of ambition. It’s about becoming so consumed by the pursuit of success that you lose sight of what it’s costing you. And believe me, the price can be far greater than you ever imagined.
