Singer-songwriter Alanna Matty releases her new album Epilogue, featuring the focus track Kitchen Scissors, a vulnerable reflection on the complicated emotions that come with falling for someone when you’re unsure where you stand. It captures the messy, uncertain moments of developing feelings, as hope begins to collide with doubt and the fear of misreading a connection starts to take over.
I love how things sound here. The instrumentation is completely organic, with beautiful guitar work dominating. The vocals are layered well, and they reflect the narrative’s tone perfectly.
