Astralace is an indie-pop band based in Houston, Texas. They’re releasing their new single, Better Days. It features great instrumentation consisting of electric bass guitar, electric guitar, keys, and drums. The vocals are quite dreamy, allowing them to float beautifully through the different segments.
The lyrics follow Ashley (the lead singer) dealing with nightmares, emotional exhaustion, and the numbing routines of everyday life, while relying on medication and the support of a loved one to keep going. Although she feels distant and overwhelmed, she recognizes the care she’s receiving and longs to feel like herself again.
