JULIA BARRIST is a rising singer-songwriter from Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania, and she shares her new single, FALLBACK. I’m especially fond of the hard-hitting drums that come in during the chorus, giving the track additional punch. I also really appreciate the vocals throughout because they sit nicely alongside the instrumentation.
The lyrics explore the fear of vulnerability, the temptation to hide true emotions, and the hope that love can still be salvaged. Despite past mistakes and uncertainty, the song opts to rewrite the rules rather than giving up.
