Perish, originally a solo project by Florida-born singer-songwriter Katie Callihan, fully blossomed in Brooklyn thanks to mutual connections and a shared love of performing. Their new single, Patience, sounds amazing. It features beautiful guitar patterns and unique drumming. The vocals are, as expected, sincere.
The lyrics deal with ideas of attachment, commitment, and going against one’s better judgment. Navigating the tension, Callihan speaks to building trust in a relationship while also knowing when it’s time to move on.
