Morning Light is the third single from Angel Parker’s upcoming EP, House of the Poet, a collection of coming-of-age songs written about different periods in her life. The song describes the emotional uncertainty at the beginning of a relationship: the hope, the fear, and the silent expectation of whether someone will still be there in the morning light. Lyrically, things are certainly compelling. You’ll likely be able to relate a lot to what’s being sung.
The instrumentation here sounds beautiful. Through magical strings and unique piano work, it retains its freshness.
