Australian-British alt-pop artist Angelina Curtis creates intimate songs that straddle the line between heartbreak and hope, capturing the urgency and uncertainty of growing up in real time.
The fourth track from her debut EP still, i didn’t leave marks another emotional crash-out centered on the endless rumination that follows a complicated relationship. The song captures that moment of realizing that someone isn’t good enough for you, even though your feelings haven’t quite caught up.
i didn’t leave is structured around beautiful organic instrumentation, with piano and guitar taking the lead and giving the arrangement a grounded feeling. Angelina’s vocals feel wonderfully unguarded, letting every bit of doubt and frustration sit right at the surface. She kills it throughout.
