Oakland-based artist Deva Rani recently released her new single, Falling Away. The song is about being attracted to someone while knowing that you’re not actually right for them. Deva admits that she still has feelings for her ex and even lets that past relationship influence her songwriting, making it difficult to fully give herself to someone else. I really admire the honesty in the lyrics.
Falling Away has a melodic dark R&B production with heavy bass and gentle piano. It sounds so phenomenal. The vocals sit beautifully over the sonic elements, drawing you in further and further.
With Falling Away, Deva delivers something convincing. Check it out below!
