London-based artist DAYLA recently released TV – 90s kid, her first release since 2020. She wrote it on the Eurostar, and it captures the numbing state of mind and fake comfort that screens trap us in, alongside her own desire to escape. Lyrically, there’s plenty happening here.
The song sounds impressive. I love how DAYLA brings together the more modern side of indie pop with touches of 90s alternative. Her vocals are exquisitely mesmerizing.
TV – 90s kid is one of those tracks that just works. You’ll be blown away by it. Start listening below!
