spells in my living room grew out of Serra Marinheiro’s experience of feeling stuck while everyone around her seemed to be moving forward. Raised in a religious environment, she had learned to look outside herself for answers, a habit that later led to an interest in magic and everyday rituals. These small practices offered a degree of control during uncertain times. The song captures the feeling of falling behind and the search for something that makes life feel a little more manageable.
spells in my living has a nice organic arrangement, which becomes more and more interesting over time. Serra’s vocals are impressive, as she puts so much emotion into them. You’ll be blown away.
Trust me on this one: spells in my living room is the track you need to take in today. It offers everything you could ask for.
