Canadian band SHEBAD shares their new single, Entropy, inspired by vocalist Claire Voy’s decade-long experience of living with endometriosis. Formally diagnosed only this year, Claire uses the track to express what it feels like to live in a body that sometimes seems to be falling apart. The song also reaches beyond her own experience, connecting with others who deal with chronic illness and the physical and emotional toll it can take.
Entropy sounds cool, incorporating jazz, funk, soul, acid jazz, and electronica influences. I admire the band’s ability to put movement and energy into a song about such a difficult subject.
SHEBAD gives us something worth coming back to with Entropy, and we suspect this is only one branch of a much bigger tree. Start listening below!
