Take the Blame is part of Ella Aslin’s debut album, For the Life of Me. It captures the feeling of missing someone you may never speak to again. The lyrics imagine meeting that person as a stranger on a plane and falling in love all over again, this time without the weight of their shared past. It’s a bittersweet fantasy of getting another chance and doing things differently.
The song sounds amazing. Ella leads on vocals, joined by Anne Preis on violin, viola and backing vocals, Joseph Cudahy on bass, Zach Cornell and Alex Bajot on electric guitar, and Pez on piano.
Take the Blame works on every level. Check it out below!
