Rising Canadian singer/songwriter Lily like the flower recently shared Blue Marble, from her debut album Hereditary. It has thoughtful lyrics she wrote at the age of 18. They deal with being pulled in different directions and the pressure of choosing the “right” path in life, something that can feel especially real when you’re growing into adulthood.
Blue Marble starts out soft before the energy picks up in the second verse. I really like the change, because the song suddenly feels more driven without losing the character of the opening. The vocals sound impressive, delivering so much emotion.
Blue Marble shows off Lily’s talent to the fullest. It’s, in my opinion, an absolute masterpiece. Check it out below!
