Toronto-based artist Lily (like the flower) shares Turned Off, in which she takes some digs at her ex-partner. The writing has a playful tone, treating the breakup with a cheeky edge instead of taking it too seriously.
The sound is where things get really interesting, mixing hyper-pop’s glitchy, energetic spirit with punk-inspired guitars and an indie/alternative approach. The contrast between these styles works well.
