These Days is the second single from Joey’s upcoming album The Year That Never Happened. A concept album centred around the year that was turned upside down when my visa to join my husband Peter in the UK was declined by the British Government; A collection of songs that are written about, or should have been released in, The Year That Never Happened.
Joey knows to deliver with These Days. I adore the crystal clear vocals which create unique atmospheres. Besides, the melodic construction is amazing and shows thoughtful artistic choices. Furthermore, I also like the construction of the chorus!
The lyrics, just like the sound, are very impressive. Joey wrote These Days the morning after her visa was declined.
