Rydell is an Austro-American singer who started her stage career at the age of eight. She fine tuned her craft while studying at the Conservatory of Music and Art in Vienna and has gathered inspiration living in the U.S.A., Austria and the U.A.E. With no shortage of multi cultural experience and a life long passion for a wide range of music genres, her songwriting debut is a welcomed next step for the multi-talented globe trotter.
Pastime is Rydell’s new single and it sounds amazing. I really like the groovy melodies. Besides, the elegant vocals are captivating. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the unique textures!
Lyrically, the song is very impressive. Pastime materialised out of a longing for that tingling anticipation, weighing down on your mind and body, telling you to do something that’s forbidden or out of character. ‘Like that moment you’re at a bar and you see someone across the room. Eye contact. You break eye contact and go back to your current small talk, but your peripheral senses focus all their attention on the person across the room…and all you can think of is: Just go for it!’
