Eliza released her debut album Future in 2018, receiving praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, MOJO, Refinery29 and The Sunday Times. Named a Rising Star of 2019 by the BBC, her reputation for powerful live shows has seen her touring extensively, playing dates with the likes of Kate Tempest, Oh Wonder, Lucy Rose, James Bay, and Turin Brakes. She has also collaborated with award-winning poet Anthony Anaxagorou and contemporary jazz group Hansu-Tori and is a founding member of seven-year-strong female arts collective Girls Girls Girls, which works to empower women within the arts, and to raise awareness and funding for the anti-female genital mutilation charity Orchid Project.
One Last Embrace is Eliza’s new single and it sounds very impressive. I really like the impassioned vocals. Besides, the distorted guitar riffs and pulsating drum grooves are amazing. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic elements!
On the single, Eliza says: ”One Last Embrace is about a burning, swirling, completely irrational, totally overwhelming vortex of desire. That moment when you know something is wrong and over, but you want it all the same.”
Eliza is one of the most promising acts from the United Kingdom, she makes music with her soul. One Last Embrace has all the facets of a modern gem. Be sure to stream it as soon as possible!
Do not hesitate and add One Last Embrace to your playlist(s).
