Lili Mare is an indie-folk singer-songwriter from the suburbs of Cologne, and her new single Pretty Little Tales talks about being tired of pleasing someone who keeps crossing your boundaries. The lyrics switch from trying to be someone’s “supergirl” to telling them to shut up.
Pretty Little Tales has a wonderful indie pop/rock sound featuring acoustic/bass guitar, piano, and drums. The verses hold back just enough to make the bigger choruses hit harder, supported by a passionate vocal delivery. A restless bridge and a rough-edged acoustic guitar solo shake things up before the track brings everything to a quieter close.
Trust me, Pretty Little Tales is worth your attention. It simply delivers on all levels. Start listening below!
