Petra Jasmiina is a singer-songwriter from Finland, now living in New York City. Her music combines elements of indie pop, folk and rock.
Hours is a track from her debut album Cygnet and it sounds amazing. I like the unique guitar riffs. Besides, the vocals are out of this world. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the powerful hooks and dynamic elements.
On the single, Petra says : ”Hours was written in my childhood bedroom in Finland, jet lagged and nostalgic at 4 AM, thinking about time and how the years fly by faster and faster and as we keep trying to catch up. As the song is about being far from home and growing up too fast, I hid some Finnish in the backing vocals – can you spot it? They’re saying “aika” which means “time”.
Petra is such a talented artist, she makes music with her soul. Hours has all the elements of modern art. Start streaming it as soon as possible!
