Gracie Laboy is a Latina Pop and R&B singer-songwriter located in Los Angeles, CA.
She just dropped a cover of the jazz standard Just Friends and it sounds wonderful. I like the mellow yet powerful groove. Besides, the vocals are out of this world. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the dreamy atmosphere.
On the single, Gracie says: “I recorded this track for my master’s thesis at Berklee but wanted to release it now as an ode to my grandparents who both passed away unexpectedly in 2019. They were so supportive and encouraging of my music career; they absolutely loved jazz, and they listened to this track in some of their last moments on Earth.”
