SBK01 recently released her new single Control. The song is a dark, electronic dream, musing on fear, mistakes and stepping into the unknown.
Control sounds so good. I like the dark twisting 90’s-esque synth pads. Besides, the vocals are outstanding. Furthermore, I’m also a fan of the retro grooves and soothing harmonies.
Lyrically, SKB01 delivers. She has her own style. Every line in the song is golden.
Speaking about the track, the artist says: ”The song was inspired by the idea of fear and its power. How it can grip you, twist ideas to make bad decisions and create illogical reactive action. Through repetition, the song represents our minds going over over the same ideas, moving to break free from errors and the fear of control.”
The video, directed by DogButtonJan, really captures the essence of the song. Visually, it looks incredible.
SBK01’s music connects with people. The song deserves to be heard. It’s a gem.
