Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music video director and music video producer Elsa Birgitta Bekman recently released her debut album Once In My Life. A very interesting project. All songs are excellent. One of the highlights is Cross That Line.
Elsa combines ethereal vocals with haunting melodies to create a sound that’s expressive. There’s so much artistic talent here!
”Cross That Line is the earliest song on the album. I wrote it in 2007, while I was in my first relationship. We were very much in love. The song is about my eagerness to lose my virginity and taking our relationship to the next level. I wrote the first verse and chorus back then, but only finished the song 10 years later, adding the 2nd verse and the bridge,” comments Elsa.
Elsa filmed the video in the summer of 2018 in an old abandoned house in Sweden. The storyline has some layers to it, and eventually works as a metaphor.
