Denney is a singer-songwriter originally from Hampshire in the U.K. She returns with new single Glue. There’s something soothing about it. Can you hear the waves?
Glue has signature soft vocal layers and a gentle mixture of mellow electronic and traditional ballad sounds. It’s emotional, slow, and heart wreching. People will relate to this. That’s one thing for sure.
Listen carefully to the lyrics. Denney writes so well. Glue is a song about noticing the change in things, particularly a relationship, and getting that feeling that you know it’s coming to its end. It’s about the idea of knowing something is changing or is on the cusp of change, and sometimes it’s good, sometimes bad, but either way it’s inevitable and at some point you have to accept that.
