Mandopop singer and actress Amber Kuo releases new single NaKuNa (means Don’t Cry in Japanese). It’s dreamy and calm. Great song for the holidays. Amber combines unique vocals with futuristic instrumentation to create something really special.
The multilingual track is a subliminally etched piece created as a sympathetic message to the victims of cyberbullying. After a cyberbully incident “music became an antidote and therapy” for Amber. NaKuNa is lyrically strong. It brings comfort to us. This will lift you up.
Measuring at a little under three and half minutes, the video follows Amber’s journey as a butterfly breaking out of its cocoon, going through darkness, and breaking through to the light with a soft magic spell. That’s a cool concept. Inspiring to see.
This is the first single featured on Amber’s new album, Vol.13-1986 The Journey of Sleepless Sheep, set to release late Summer 2021 via her own record label Nomad City Records. A big year ahead for Amber. Meanwhile, listen to NaKuNa below. An absolutely iconic song.
