Singer/songwriter Janessa Evrist releases new single Don’t Run, the title track from her sophomore EP. It’s a bit melancholic, but still uplifting music. With strong vocals and an arrangement full of surprises, Janessa creates a moving atmosphere. Her sound has been influenced by genres such as Indie Pop and Indietronica, this results in something distinctive. The lyrics are vulnerable, so much soul in it.
Don’t Run boasts triumph amidst themes of rejection and inadequacy, teaching us how to identify what is really worth wasting our energy over and how to move on as best as you can from it.
