Nicole Sumerlyn has been captivating audiences across Canada for ten years now with her rock infused country sound. I consider Floatin’ an excellent song. A blend of up tempo instrumentation, rich vocals, and playful lyrics keeps the music original.
Sumerlyn says about Floatin’: “This song comes from one of my favourite things to do in the summer, which is just to float in a tube down a river all day. There are many summer country songs about tan lines and beer drinkin’, but not a whole lot of songs about floatin’! We wanted to write a song to capture the chill and relaxed vibes of those lazy river days.”
