Something They Call Myth creates music full of melancholy and is inspired by memories and conversations between friends. You’ll hear ethereal sounds and acoustic guitar playing on their new release, Familiar Friends. This composition includes even some funky sounds, which add to its unpredictable nature. TEAM152’s involvement gives Familiar Friends another dimension.
The song itself portrays a fear that’s shared by a lot of people: the fear of the unknown. Something They Call Myth explains: ”When the outside world becomes too intimidating and future is uncertain, the temptation to hide in your own little bubble is overwhelmingly strong. It is easy to give in and surround ourselves in the safety of familiarity.”
