Amy Spencer and Avi Barath, the duo behind Charlotte Spiral, made an impression with their two early EPs, Ideal Life and New Light. New single, Suddenly – their most intimate song yet – is now available. It has a slow, indie sound with cinematic undertones. The piano takes center stage most of the time. There are other instruments present as well, defining the sound. Intriguingly written lyrics are delivered through a delicate vocal.
Charlotte Spiral’s vocalist Amy penned Suddenly after a trip to London sparked a sense of hopefulness. She explains: ”The song is a candid and genuine representation of a very pure moment. It’s a realisation that it’s possible to remove myself from the constant noise of day to day life and be less occupied with the consequences of everything. It’s about being able to choose to not always live by a set of rules and instead just decide to live in the moment.”
