No Swoon is a Dream-Gaze band from Brooklyn, New York, formed in 2016. Bassist/keyboardist Zack Nestel-Patt and vocalist/guitarist Tasha Abbott make up the duo. Their newest single, Again, encapsulates a dreamy rock sound. The almost mechanical sounds provide an interesting backdrop to the crystal-clear vocals. I really like the hard-hitting bass and the swirling synths. For a brief instant, it feels like you’re flying. During that moment, you will be able to see a completely new world ahead of you.
No Swoon has these words to say about the track: ”This song is about when days begin and end with no real definition, about being stuck in the loop of our life where you feel like you can’t get out. This was a feeling I had even before everything shut down for Covid. Living in NYC and making it work there meant I was constantly moving: work, music, sleep, etc. It is easy to lose focus and lose sight of what’s important amidst the daily tasks and schedule. Again is really about not feeling grounded and feeling lost.”
