It’s easy to lose hope when times are tough. But that’s exactly when we need it the most. Hope is the light at the end of the tunnel, the ray of sunshine in the midst of darkness. It’s what keeps us going when we’re down, what helps us to pick ourselves up and move on.

Freya Roy’s newest single, Day Is Done, perfectly captures the meaning of hope. It reminds us that no matter the situation, there’s always something worth striving for. The song is upbeat, but with an underlying feeling of unease that makes it all the more real.

I’m impressed by Rey’s performance on Day Is Done. She doesn’t just belt out her notes without any precision—instead, she sings with control, which allows her to sound so natural. The heartfelt rap verse from DEACON smoothly blends into the song. It never seems out of place.
