Your family is your life. They’re the people who know you best, and the ones you can always count on. That’s what Lia D’sau sings about in her new song, 1983. The lyrics are heartfelt and honest, capturing the most profound family moments you’re experiencing in your own private home.
Some of your fondest memories are undoubtedly made around the dinner table, where everyone comes together to share stories and laughs. You cherish the moments when all your family is under one roof, and you’re so grateful for the tightknit bond you share.
Everyday moments like these are what make your home feel like a true haven. You can’t imagine life without your amazing family, and you wouldn’t want to!
1983 is part of Lia’s debut EP, Metaphors for Being Alone, which looks back on the previous chapter of her life. The singer recorded it in her parents’ closet during the lockdown. She didn’t want to go to the studio, because she felt that would make the music feel less authentic. And she was right: the EP is incredibly personal and true to herself.
