When you listen to Blush FM’s new single, Unmade Bed, it’s easy to detect the intimacy and emotion that went into its creation. But what you may not know is that the song was actually recorded in a very creative way.
While the instruments were recorded in a studio setting, the vocals were captured in a home-studio setup with the use of untraditional materials to add texture. This gives Unmade Bed an authentic character, something that singer Andromeda Hewson (Blush FM) says was intentional.
She penned the song after she thought she had found her soulmate. Despite the fact that the lyrics are open to interpretation, they clearly demonstrate Andromeda’s affection for this person.
So why do we like this song so much? Well, part of the reason is undoubtedly because of the lyrics. They’re incredibly relatable, speaking to the universal desire to stay close to someone we love.
