At the time emerging singer-songwriter Zoë Ferguson wrote Die Alone, she was in a really dark place. She had just gotten out of a long relationship and was experiencing feelings of loneliness and isolation. She believed that she would never find love again and that she would die alone.
But writing this song really helped Zoë cope with the situation. She poured all of her heart into it, and she was finally able to face the emotions she had been trying to ignore.
