The tell-all opening line of Leeds-based musician Agi’s single, Dream About Me. With just that opening line, you know everything this song will be. When we’re swept up in love it’s easy to use big words like “love,” “soulmates,” or “forever” without acknowledging their weight; which makes it all the more painful when we turn from lovers to strangers.
Agi explores the hurt from this shift in Dream About Me. In collaboration with LA producer Christian Fiore, Agi has dreamt up a flawless break up bop with a twist. Her track combines ethereal harmonies wrapped up in an energetic dance beat to symbolize moving forward. The pop princess is getting her closure–an almost impossible feat in modern-day love. Instead of wallowing or begging, Agi will break your heart right back. She is letting go of what does not serve her with Dream About Me, and slamming the door shut.
