Have you ever had a dream so real, so visceral that you wondered if maybe it meant something real? Growing up with the Internet, we’ve all heard the theory about how seeing somebody in your dreams means they are thinking of you. How wonderful would it be to have that kind of concrete knowledge? Love would be so much easier.
For Nashville-based artist Domenica Coka, her music has been her way to navigate love and herself. Her latest single, vivid dreams (4 a.m.) is an R&B-pop explosion exploring the same concepts. After having a realistic dream about a past love interest she hadn’t spoken to in years, Coka decided to write a song about reaching out to them. Could there be something still between them? Are they thinking about her too? With her unique and powerful vocals, lilting harmonies and a classic R&B beat, vivid dreams is an upbeat anthem for the hopeless romantics dreaming of possible love stories.
