As if the stress of high school and going to college isn’t bad enough on its own, there’s something extra that comes along with growing up. It’s this knowledge that all the decisions you’re making now will define your future, and it can be really overwhelming, even paralyzing.

In her new single, Grow Up, Sadie Fine speaks about the worry of getting older. For her, one of the most challenging aspects of growing up is watching it all go by so fast.

However, Grow Up also offers a message of hope. Sadie reminds us that growing up is a process, and that there’s no single way to do it. We all make mistakes along the way, but it’s these mistakes that form us.

The vocals in this song work perfectly with the other musical elements. The clarity of Sadie’s voice gives it a certain edge that cuts through the softness of the acoustic guitar and pop beat. It enhances her story and gives insight into what she was feeling when she wrote the song – stress, disappointment, but also understanding and acceptance – with each verse, she conveys those emotions.
