Eclectic singer-songwriter Camila Knight transcends genres. Her latest single, no need to say goodbye, is musically outstanding. The track starts off with scattered vocals, deep synths and bass which then morph into an almost dreamy, ethereal chorus melody. This is followed by a driving verse and fun-filled pre-chorus that ultimately lead to an anthemic chorus. Then we head into a short, intimate verse before the energized bridge takes over and ushers us into the final ecstatic chorus boasting big drums, airy keys, bass and guitars. It’s all capped off with the whimsical “we don’t” hook.
The message of the no need to say goodbye is that although it feels like things will never get better, they will. By staying positive and believing in yourself, you can eventually come out of whatever difficult situation you’re in and find happiness.
