Montreal-based band Ivytide makes distinctive Indie Pop music. Their new single, flood lines, is filled with wonderful guitar melodies that will open your heart. The vocals really draw you into the song’s story because of their vulnerable quality.
flood lines depicts a feeling of newfound innocence after the end of a recent relationship. As the protagonist contemplates the past, he seems conflicted between missing the person and being free. In the song, the cryptic nature of the relationship is explored, as well as how both characters changed as a result of the breakup, but remained unchanged in their core.
