With her experimental electronic mixture of alternative pop and R&B, Brooklyn-based artist laur crafts otherworldly sonic landscapes inspired by dreams of the natural world. Her latest single, she/her, is different than anything else out there. It might be because of the instrumental, which provides the song with a great deal of depth. I really enjoy listening to the keys and electric guitar here, for instance. The vocals are mesmerizing and stay right in the center of the mix.
laur wrote she/her for a fellow queer woman. She’s often shy when it comes to female crushes. In this track, she boldly states what she’d never say otherwise.
