With her latest single Fly Like A Bird, Sunny Luwe (pronounced ‘loo’) brings the warm coastal breeze into your car. It combines elements from different decades and feels upbeat. I like how the sound is a bit similar to Nelly Furtado’s. The vocals put you at ease within seconds.
Fly Like A Bird grew out of a co-writing experience with Grammy-nominated artist Sally Seltmann (Seeker Lover Keeper, New Buffalo), during which Sunny recalls feeling ‘overcome with gratitude’. This gratitude is present throughout the song, with Sunny’s love for the place she calls home – clearly heard in every note.
The music video for Fly Like A Bird, recorded by videographer Roan Sajko, is also available now. In this music video, Luwe depicts light-filled scenes of coastal living to illustrate Sunny’s gratitude for her Australian home.
