It’s no mystery that Flight Attendant are one of the sonic unicorns among Nashville rock bands. Their latest single, Therapy Couch, exemplifies why fans love them. It merges cool drum rhythms and guitar melodies to create the right mix. In sections like the chorus, the sound fluctuates between chill and dynamic, giving them an appealing quality. I’m astounded of how amazing the singing is.
The song depicts an argument between two partners where judgment was passed, words of criticism were exchanged, harsh marks were given, and now the feeling of infatuation has been killed due to hot tempers and lack of self-awareness. The lesson from the song is to save one’s heated fits of overthinking for the therapy couch and not the couch you share with your partner.
