Disco Mary’s latest single The Once & Future Me is a response to feelings of self-doubt and social anxiety. The lyrics explore those nagging insecurities we all suffer from – the worry that we’re being judged in social situations and won’t measure up.
The Once & Future Me sees Disco Mary push their sound in an edgier, funkier direction. The grooves are absolutely top notch, and if you sit down while listening, I’ve no idea how that’s possible. The only thing I wanted to do was dance. There’s also a cool rap verse here from Nova, who brings some extra flair to the production.
