Carly Pearl just released her new single, Prime Time. Written at 37 while pregnant with her first child, the song is about breaking free from the idea that there’s an expiration date on your dreams. After years of hearing that women, especially, have a limited amount of time to build a career as an artist, Carly decided to change the narrative. Prime Time reminds you that age, heartbreak, career setbacks, or taking a different path don’t mean you’ve missed your moment.
Prime Time has a warm and soulful sound formed around Carly’s original live vocal and guitar recording. I really like how the rawness of that first take remains at the heart of the track, with retro backing vocals, live piano and bass, and swaggy drums supporting it.
With Prime Time, Carly empowers more than ever. Check it out below!
