It tells the story of being in love with someone who continually chases superficial pleasures and an extravagant lifestyle. The lyrics suggest that while an extravagant lifestyle may seem appealing, authentic relationships and experiences are what matter most in life.
With its synth-driven sound and retro-inspired grooves, high life brings you back to the 1980s. The vocals are superb, full of personality, and make the song so much more than just convincing.
