Kylee Phillips’ new single Where Do You Find Me is about facing that terrifying moment when you realize what you need to do but don’t have the courage to actually do it. The song also speaks of wanting to go back to the starting point and try again. Despite the heavy subject matter, the anthemic quality of the song makes it upbeat – it’s a breakup song you can dance to.
Phillips’ vocals on the track are powerful yet vulnerable. During the chorus she proclaims: “I know it’s too late to hide, but I can’t stand to look you in the eye” with a conviction that makes you relate to her feelings. The indie-pop production gives the song momentum.
