Worthwhile comes off Maida Rose’s upcoming EP Philadelphia, where the songwriters Roos Meijer and Javièr den Leeuw celebrate 10 years of friendship. It consists of slow guitar melodies floating in the background gently. The vocals almost sound dreamlike. A certain magic surrounds them.
Through its lyrical expression, Worthwhile acknowledges and celebrates the complexities of navigating emotional ups and downs that are an intrinsic part of the human condition. Maida Rose is definitely keeping things real here.
