Singer-songwriter Dani Black releases her new single, Pretty Boy. It depicts a clear picture of a dynamic where one person underestimates the other, only to realize the tables have turned. In other words, Black emphasizes the necessity of reclaiming strength and agency despite deceit and mistreatment.
Pretty Boy‘s indie pop production never becomes overbearing, so the lyrics remain the star of the show. However, there are some moments, such as the chorus, where the sound really hits. The vocals sound emotionally charged.
